LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an organization in the Westbury, NY area to identify a Junior Accountant for a temporary assignment. This role will support the Finance team with a variety of accounting and administrative functions, including billing, accounts receivable, financial tracking, and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process invoices, reimbursement requests, and related financial documentation.
• Maintain accounts receivable records and assist with monitoring outstanding balances.
• Track program and project expenditures and support budget monitoring activities.
• Assist with account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Support audit processes by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
• Enter and review accounting data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare routine financial reports and assist with special reporting projects.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance team as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, billing, accounts receivable, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Nonprofit accounting experience is a plus.

Additional Information

• Fully on-site position located in Westbury, NY.
• Temporary opportunity.
• Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
